Michael Nathanson, known only as Falafel, was a mediocre chess player.
Years later, he became the world’s best backgammon player.
Everyone in the backgammon field knows him as a guru of backgammon and he knows nothing else.
Like Deep Blue is for chess, Snowie is the computer program for backgammon. Snowie is the backgammon god,
and Snowie decided that Falafel is number one because every time he rolls the dice,
he chooses the most accurate course of game. 

Falafel was born in Russia to a single mother. They moved to Israel when he was three-years-old.
At the age of ten he moved to Buffalo, NY, "the most boring place in America."
He graduated from Buffalo University and moved in with his mother after graduation.
He never tried to get a job nor made any money, and his mother eventually kicked him out of the house.
He had nowhere to go and had heard they were playing chess in the park.
There he played for money, enough to survive on and for the next year he lived in the park and ate only Falafel (hence, the nickname).
One day, a friend turned him to the game of backgammon.
