Watercolours by Roland Herrera

I am not new to drawing & painting, but I am new to the medium of Watercolour! Anyhow, I am documenting all my initial efforts, expecting the first 30-50 works to be complete or partial failures; then things should pick up, and eventually after 2 years I plan on being at least technically proficient with this tricky medium ! I started using Winsor & Newton "Cotman" watercolours and synthetic brushes, but more recently have invested (it all runs into hundreds of pounds before you know it!) in Artists' paint and finest paper & sable brushes. I will post some information on what brushes I am using; W&N Sceptre Gold II, Da Vinci Maestro 10 n12 and several from Rosemary's. For the moment, here are some glued Paper Pads (on all 4) that I use (10x14 Arches / 12x18 Fabriano / 14x20 Fabriano / 16x20 Langton / 18x24 Arches).
